How’s your posture? Did you immediately sit up after reading that? Do you know why your posture is the way it is? Did you know you can’t blame it all on looking at your phone?
During this workshop Sharon, PTA will assess your full body posture, just as she would do with a patient in a PT clinic. This will give each individual THEIR specific posture assessment.
~After the assessment, we will start with feet and move up the body to discuss common issues and causes of postural disfunction in each area.
~Once we have a good understanding of imbalances, we will discuss the health of the spine, specifically the low back.
~We will move through simple yoga postures and modify them to your individual body, so you can continue your yoga practice in the most productive way possible.
~This workshop is perfect for anyone suffering with S.I. (Sacroiliac) or low back pain, hip pain, knee pain, foot/ankle pain, scoliosis, bulging discs, or any sort of concern with their posture.
~You will be provided a postural assessment sheet as well as a small workbook for notes and highlights of the class.
~Please wear comfortable clothes, but keep in mind your ankles will need to be visible.
