Highland games (Scottish Gaelic: geamannan Gàidhealach) are events celebrating Scottish and Celtic culture. There will be bag piping and a massed band at the noontime ceremonies, dancers, clan tents for genealogical exploration, and the athletic events, especially the caber toss and weight over bar. Entertainment and exhibits related to other aspects of Scottish and Gaelic cultures as well as retail, food, and commercial vendor booths.
Directions to get there: Enter the grounds from the North gate on E. Loren Rd. (follow Applegate Dr. to the top of the hill, take a left onto E. Loren Rd., then drive ¼ mile down the road and turn left into the entrance of the grounds). The speed limit for Applegate Dr. & Loren Rd. is 35 mph, please be courteous of our neighbors. Drive the speed limit to help us keep the dust down. When on the property please drive no faster than 5 mph and stay on the marked paths.
