Mt Ascension Brewing & REDS Dance Studio present SABOR TUESDAYS!!! Beginning January 9th, 2024, REDS will be hosting beginner-level dance classes EVERY Tuesday from 6:30 – 7:30 PM at Mt Ascension Brewery. The style of dancing will rotate monthly.
JANUARY – Ramon and Elena will be teaching SALSA dancing! Salsa is a sexy, energetic and fun partner dance. Unlike some partner dances, it is a very sociable dance – you don’t need to have a regular partner or any partner for that matter. This fun and energetic dance is the most popular of all the Latin dances because it is easy to learn and is fantastic for all ages and dancing abilities. Salsa dancing has many fast turns, exciting footwork, rhythmic hip movements, and lively music.
FEBRUARY – Ramon and Elena will be teaching BACHATA dancing! The Bachata is a playful Latin dance that is typically danced with soft hip motions, turns and side-to-side footwork. The music of Bachata is very recognizable for its predominant use of the electric guitar combined with Caribbean and Latin musical influences. Bachata is danced all throughout the world, including the United States where it is a popular style of dance in Merengue and Salsa nightclubs. Elena and Ramon will break down the basic steps and patterns in a relaxed atmosphere.
MARCH – Ramon and Elena will be teaching MERENGUE dancing! Merengue dancing is light and playful, making it a great dance for beginners and experts alike. It is danced with “walking steps” with a step taken on each beat of the music. While dancers typically use hip motions with this dance, the amount of hip movement varies with personal preference. This dance is considered to be in the same “family” as Salsa and is popular in the nightclub and social dance scenes. Elena and Ramon will break down the basic steps and patterns in a relaxed atmosphere.
Ticket options – ALL tickets include one beer from Mt Ascension Brewing and the dance class.
Couples ticket: purchase a ticket for you and a partner & receive 2 beers and participate in the dance class.
Single ticket: purchase a ticket for yourself & receive 1 beer and participate in the dance class.
Monthly Dance Packages will be available for purchase. Sales for that month end the first class of each month.
