The Helena Chamber Singers will be presenting their spring concert, “From the Earth to the Sky,” on Sunday, May 19, at 4:30, and Monday, May 20, at 7:00 pm. Both concerts will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church (400 S. Oakes/ Oakes & Winne). Featured music will include “Images,” a vocal jazz compoosition by Rob Landes with a jazz trio accompaniment of Mark Walker, piano, Luke Michelson, bass and Jeremy Slead, drums. Also included will be a piece set to a Robert Frost text, “The Pasture.” and a Native American piece “I See the Universe.:Also performing will be the HCS Women and a small ensemble, Con Amore, comprised of members from HCS. The second half of the concert wil feature most of the music frOM LES MISERABLES, a huge Broadway and movie hit, based on the book by Victor Hugo. The extensivemedley features many solo voices from the choir. Accompanying the choir will be Mark Walker on Synthesizer, LUke Michelson on bass, Jeremy Slead on drums and the conductor, Steve Michelson, on piano. The cocnert wil be conducted by Dr. Steve Michelson and accomanied by Mark Walker, one of the finest musicians/p[ianists, & accompanists in Montana.
