Dan Henry is a Montana-born musician whose love of music and passion for entertaining has helped him carve out a living playing across Montana, with a vision of taking his show across the country. Mr. Henry has constructed his one-man band by combining his guitar with the bluesy sounds of harmonica and his unique vocal stylings. With this combination, Mr. Henry is able to cover a wide variety of genres from reggae and blues to rock, country, and folk. Dan Henry also has a wealth of original music spiced with hints of blues, folk, and country. And more recently Dan has also constructed a 3-piece band to further explore the musical horizon.
Dan Henry began his musical journey at a young age, dabbling in several instruments before setting his sights on the guitar. The harmonica would not become a mainstay of his music until later down the road. Spending his high school years singing in multiple choirs allowed Mr. Henry to find the power and vocal range that comes in handy when playing such a wide variety of music. He began writing music about the same time he picked up his first guitar, composing silly songs for friends and family which would morph into more mature storytelling as the years progressed. Drawing from personal experiences and experiences of his family, Dan has penned songs of love found and love lost, as well as songs evoking his deep fascination with his Montana home, the struggle of fading youth, and many other life adventures.
Living in Montana Dan spends his time hiking among the majestic Rocky Mountain, Fishing the slow flowing rivers, and gazing at the Big Skies. This upbringing found its way into the many hours spent strumming his guitar and penning lyrics. Soon he began testing the waters at local farmers’ markets until people took notice and he was hired to play for several shops during Downtown Helena’s Art Walks and other community events. From these modest beginnings, it grew into the busy schedule of today, where Dan travels between 12 different Montana towns and cities, bringing his music to bars, breweries, coffee shops, pubs, festivals, private parties, hot springs, weddings, and more. living in Las Vegas, Nevada for a year Dan also picked up venues in Sin City and her neighbor, Boulder City. With new venues added to his schedule every month, Dan has no shortage of travels and adventures in his future.
