Cohesion Dance Project prepares to introduce a new fall production in 2027, making this fall the perfect time to join the cast of Shira Greenberg’s Nutcracker on the Rocks.
Auditions for the 2026 cast will be held August 31–September 3, 2026, with sign-ups required by August 30.
Don’t miss your chance to perform in this legendary, high-energy, rock-n-roll reimagining of the Nutcracker before it takes a brief hiatus. Dance to iconic hits by Janis Joplin, James Brown, The Rolling Stones, and more, as this electrifying production presents a fusion of dancer styles – and a Harley Davidson roaring on stage. Visiting guest artists join the community cast as dancers amp up the energy and light up the Civic Center stage, leading audiences on a thrilling journey through the decades. Performances are on Thanksgiving weekend, November 28-30, 2026 at the Helena Civic Center.
Adults and youth, ages 7+ of all experience levels and abilities, including those with disabilities, are welcome to join the fun. No dance experience is required. Whether you’ve danced for years or simply love to groove in your kitchen, this is your chance to be part of an unforgettable community event!
Group audition times are split by age and skill level and include a warm-up and movement sequences similar to the show. No need to prepare material — just show up ready to dance! Everyone who auditions and can commit to the schedule will be cast.
