Hosted by MPN President, Pamela Mencher and MPN member, Christa Chiriaco the reading series will take place at the Helena Avenue Theatre at 1319 Helena Avenue in Helena, MT.  This engaging reading series gives MPN members an opportunity to share their works-in-progress with the public.

 

The date of the first reading is Saturday, August 10th from 7-9pm. Two MPN members will share selected excerpts of their writing followed by audience questions and feedback after each reading.

 

MPN member writers showcased during the August 10th evening readings include:

 

  • Matthew Granberg sharing excerpts from his novel, Our Sisters’ Cries. Matt Granberg’s fiction is deeply rooted in his 20-year career as an infantry soldier and disabled veteran in the U.S. Army. Our Sisters’ Cries, illuminates pressing social issues in Indian Country across the western United States, a topic profoundly shaped by his firsthand experiences and observations.
  • Tim Holmes shares excerpts from his play, Luxury Bath. This political, romantic comedy set in the late 90’s in East Jerusalem depicts two strangers, a Palestinian man and an Israeli woman, who find to their utter horror that they are taking the same bubble bath. An internationally recognized sculptor, filmmaker and philosopher, Tim creates art for social evolution and believes that art will heal the world.
