CobbleStone – “Stone and Cobb” just didn’t have the right ring as a trademark for this talented duo who bring skilled and tasty renditions of favorite music from the 1920’s to the 2020’s. Fred Cobb and Don Stone have been on the music scene in Montana for decades, but mostly in different bands. Lots and lots of bands!
Don Stone boasts over 50 years of trombone playing in everything from Marine Corps field bands in the 1970s to many years with the Helena Symphony as well as some great Trad Jazz bands around the Northwest.
Fred Cobb has his own long list of musical accomplishments, experiences and stories including a lengthy stint as Musical Director of Helena’s Grandstreet Theatre. You might have run into Fred at Piccolo Music Store in Helena where he was a manager for many years.
