“Dr. Seuss’s Horse Museum”: Illustrating Horses – hands-on art workshop for kids

March 14, @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Montana Heritage Center - Helena, MT
Free

In honor of Charlie Russell’s birthday, we are inviting kids to learn to illustrate horses, one of the great painter’s favorite subjects. We will start by reading along to “Dr. Seuss’s Horse Museum”, about horses in different styles of art, and explore some of the horses found in the museum exhibits. Then, instructor and illustrator Eric Dymit from the Holter Museum of Art will guide participants through drawing their own horses.

This class is free and open to kids ages 7 and up. We ask that an adult accompany their child (but if you are going on the 10:30 a.m. Nancy Russell tour, you can step out for that time). The workshop is limited to 20 kids and prior registration is required below. Please fill out a separate registration form for each kid.
