2nd Annual Montana Women’s Ice Fishing Clinic

Our community is an inclusive one. We welcome all womxn and gender non-conforming folks to this event.

This one-day event is meant to nurture new and experienced ice anglers alike, build community and help women feel confident on the ice. Meeting new women from all walks of life, with different experience levels, and varied expectations is what makes this opportunity so incredibly unique.

Though experienced anglers will be present to help with set-up and to give fishing tips, the Montana Women’s Ice Fishing Clinic is not a guided outing. It is not guaranteed success. It is, however, guaranteed fun!

Location: Canyon Ferry Lake
Lunch is provided!

Please email Morgan at [email protected] to secure your spot and please send a copy of your current fishing license. Exact location/directions will be emailed to all participants in advance of the event.

What’s included: all ice fishing equipment, shelters, coffee and tea on the ice, and lunch.

Fishing Licenses are required. Need one? You can purchase from any sporting goods shop or online through Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks: https://fwp.mt.gov/buyandapply/fishinglicenses

Secure your spot with a $20 participation fee (a minimum 2 week cancellation in writing is required to receive a full refund).

Items to Bring: Warm boots, extra socks, warm gloves, warm hat, lots of layers, thermos/travel mug and camp chair

Items to bring if you’ve got ‘em: ice fishing pole, lures and bait, hemostats, bucket (doubles as a chair!), hand warmers, crampons and other ice fishing equipment

There are many options for lodging in and around Canyon Ferry Lake as the nearest cities are Helena, East Helena and Townsend.
