Start out your day with an exhilarating early morning hike up the 1906 Trail at Mount Helena. This 2.9-mile loop is easy and dog-friendly. Indulge yourselves in this beautiful hike to the summit to find awe-inspiring views of the valley.

Grab a fabulous cup-o-joe and some delicious food at the No Sweat Café in Last Chance Gulch. This quaint café, settled in a cozy atmosphere, is sure to please with great homestyle food. One small note, bring cash as cards are not accepted.

MID-MORNING SHOP

The lovely Mae & June Vintage Market is the perfect boutique to find unique gifts along with candles, stationery, specialty soaps, and home décor. It’s quite the chic spot to check out and it’s centrally located in Helena. If shopping doesn’t fancy you, and you want a little more adventure, go next door to the Stonetree Climbing Center. This community-oriented space uses indoor rock climbing as a vehicle for engagement, empowerment, and life-long recreation interests.

LUNCH

After your stroll down the walking mall, you can drop by the Windbag Saloon for a bite to eat. This lively pub is set in Helena’s last bordello! They serve great food and drinks in a friendly atmosphere. A must-stop for Mac-N-Cheese lovers!

AFTERNOON

After grabbing a bite, take a stroll down the charming Last Chance Gulch outdoor walking mall in Downtown Helena. This pedestrian walking mall is filled with dozens of fun shops from boutiques to a wine bar, brewery, and an ice cream shop! There’s something for everyone to enjoy. Be sure to stop in The Parrot Confectionery which is a quaint old fashioned candy store that has been in Historic Downtown Helena since 1922.

Enjoy your Saturday evening in the adorable town of Helena and explore some of our outstanding local cuisines. Make reservations ahead of time at the Wassweiler Dinner House & Pub which specializes in high-quality steaks in an intimate setting.

If you are up for live music and a variety of seasonal beers, look no further than the Lewis & Clark Brewing Company and Tap Room. They offer plenty of seating and many different rooms. Check their website for the live music calendar. If a martini is more your style, stop in the Silver Star Steak Company. They make one of the best Dirty Martinis in town!
